The Ipswich Golf Club has been part of the Ipswich community since our establishment in 1897, currently enjoying our 115th year of operation. The Club is entering an exciting phase with the recent opening of a brand new 18 hole championship golf course designed by Wayne Grady and has just completed a Clubhouse refurbishment and new car park. Ipswich Golf Club is the premier member owned golf facility in the Ipswich Region.

The new course which opened for play in March 2010 is a Par 72 measuring 5911m from the back tees.

Membership is currently open in all categories and we invite you to join our Club.

The Club currently has several different Membership and Payment Options to suit every golfers needs.

Membership Category options include:

  • Full Ordinary Membership
  • Six Day Membership
  • Pathway Membership
  • Intermediate Membership ‘A’ & ‘B’
  • Junior & Sub-Junior Membership

    • The Club also offers Membership Fee Rebates on both the Full Ordinary and Six Day Category.  Rebates available are:

  • Spousal Rebate applies to the second Member of a couple that joins the Club (The rebate only applies to the lesser category and only one per couple)
  • Age Rebate applies to all Members 65 years or older.

    Golf Membership Fees pro rata 2011-12

    Full Ordinary Membership

    • Unlimited games of golf 7 days per week, subject to availability and booking in accordance with the membership rules (currently bookings are allowed 15 days in advance)
    • Maintenance of an official Golf Australia Handicap
    • Members discount available on purchases throughout the Clubhouse and Golf Shop
    • Voting rights and the ability to nominate for a Board position
    • Eligible for all Honour Board and Club Championship events

    Six Day Membership

    • Unlimited games of golf 6 days per week (except Saturday), subject to availability and booking in accordance with the membership rules (currently bookings are allowed 15 days in advance)
    • A Six Day Member may play on a Saturday as follows:
      • Competition Play subject to places being available in the field (access to timesheet 24 hours prior to the event); and Payment of the applicable additional green fee (currently this fee will be $10 competition fee plus $10 additional green fee). 
      • Social Play on payment of the full applicable visitor Green Fee (Currently $29).
      • Maintenance of an official Golf Australia Handicap
      • Members discount available on purchases throughout the Clubhouse and Golf Shop
      • Eligible for Honour Board and Club Championship events at the discretion of the Golf Committee
      • No voting or Board nomination rights exist for this category

     Pathway Membership

    • Membership option with a low up-front fee but course access fees for all games of golf apply.
    • Course access is available 7 days per week, subject to availability and booking in accordance with the membership rules (currently bookings are allowed 7 days in advance)
    • Current Fees: $15 Green Fee is applicable to all 18 hole games.  To participate in a competition the Competition Fee will also be payable ie $10 comp fee plus $15 Social Fee = $25.
    • Maintenance of an official Golf Australia Handicap
    • Members discount available on purchases throughout the Clubhouse and Golf Shop
    • Eligible for Honour Board and Club Championship events at the discretion of the Golf Committee
    • No voting or Board nomination rights exist for this category

     

    Country Membership

    • Eligibility: Must reside outside 100km radius of Ipswich Post Office and be a financial member of another Golf Club.
    • Unlimited games of golf 7 days per week, subject to availability and booking in accordance with the membership rules (currently bookings are allowed 7 days in advance)
    • Members discount available on purchases throughout the Clubhouse and Golf Shop
    • Eligible for all Honour Board and Club Championship events

     

    Intermediate Membership ‘A’

    • Available to Male and Females aged 20 years of age and under
    • Unlimited games of golf 7 days per week, subject to availability and booking in accordance with the membership rules (currently bookings are allowed 15 days in advance)
    • Maintenance of an official Golf Australia Handicap
    • Members discount available on purchases throughout the Clubhouse and Golf Shop
    • Eligible for all Honour Board and Club Championship events

     

    Intermediate Membership ‘B’

    • Available to Male and Females aged 22 years of age and under
    • Unlimited games of golf 7 days per week, subject to availability and booking in accordance with the membership rules (currently bookings are allowed 15 days in advance)
    • Maintenance of an official Golf Australia Handicap
    • Members discount available on purchases throughout the Clubhouse and Golf Shop
    • Eligible for all Honour Board and Club Championship events

     

    Junior Membership  

    • Available to Male and Females aged 17 years of age and under
    • Unlimited games of golf 7 days per week, subject to availability and booking in accordance with the membership rules (currently bookings are allowed 15 days in advance)
    • Maintenance of an official Golf Australia Handicap
    • Members discount available on purchases throughout the Clubhouse and Golf Shop
    • Eligible for all Honour Board and Club Championship events

     

    Sub-Junior Membership

    • Available to Male and Females aged 13 years of age and under
    • Unlimited games of golf 7 days per week, subject to availability and booking in accordance with the membership rules (currently bookings are allowed 15 days in advance)
    • Not entitled to gain a Golf Australia Handicap

     

    Payment Options:

    New option of Full Monthly Membership at only $79 per month through the Ipswich Golf Club. Please see club reception for more information.

    The Club usees two external providers to offer Members flexible membership payment options.  Please enquire at reception in relation to options that are available. (Options exist for weekly, fortnightly and monthly payments).

    Members may use the Course at no additional cost (Subject to their category entitlement, green fees will apply for 5 & 6 Day Members on non entitled days) at any time the Course is not being used for Club Events or for Pennants, Social Club or Corporate Bookings.
